Market Segments Essay Example for Free
Market Segments Essay Apple is marketing to people who have a few characteristics. 1) Middle/Upper income folks who are willing to pay a bit more for a better user experience. paying 500 more for a computer is not a huge deal if you have a decent income. 2) People who like to have fun with technology. No other platform offers as many entry level tools (the whole iLife bunch and more). This includes people who like to shoot a lot of digital photos or video. Its the whole digital hub concept. People are starting to buy into it. 3) Music enthusiasts and fans ages 12-35. 4) Professionals in media and design. The first two groups do overlap, but its a huge market. Way bigger than 5% or whatever. Apples problem is not really pricing. These are the same people who pay $500 to get seats that warm up your behind. Apples problem is the status quo. People who should consider macs dont, because of a stigma of incompatibility that developed in the 90s. Apples market share and success will grow in the next ten years for the simple reason that our generations X and Y who have been exposed heavily to the internet werent using computers much during the compatibility days But anyway, the compatibility problem dies when the people who believe in it are not young anymore. Market Segmentation The market segmentation includes: Demographical bases. Geographical bases. Behavior bases. Psychographic bases. 2.1 Demographical bases (age, family size, life cycle, occupation) Looking into Apple, the Demographical market segment is successful because they are developing products on the age, life cycle, occupation of the people. They are distributing their products into various places and the PCs are categorized on age, family size, for example they would have more games and entertainment in the PCs for the kids and a professional PC with all the latest softwareââ¬â¢s. 2.2 Geographical bases (states, regions, countries) Looking into the geographical bases of Apple they have established their business all over the world like U.S., South America, Europe, Japan, and Australia. Recently Apple chose to implement a vertical growth strategy and began expanding their own retail stores. The company also sells its product via third-parties dealers, or via internet through their own website or through the iTunes online music stores. 2.3 Behavior bases (product knowledge, usage, attitudes, and responses) In this market segment Apple providing good product knowledge to the customers by advertizing on search engines, T.V. as they have a very good brand image. Using this brand image they are continuously coming up with new ideas and products and attracting the customers. Apple has got a very good response rate as many of the customers are looking for new designs and innovative products which Apple is successfully delivering. 2.4 Psychographic bases (lifestyle, values, personality) Looking into Apple the psychographic market segment is successful because they are developing products on the lifestyle of the people such as Mac book for the younger generation. Apple having a very good brand image has very good value for its products as they are different and innovative. Nature and Nuture Essays -- Psychology Behavior
The question is this: How can we distinguish between the environmental causes of behavior and heredity causes? This question embodies the nature-nurture issue. John B. Watson argued that each is made, not born. He discounted the importance of heredity, maintaining that behavior is managed entirely by the environment. Indeed he boldly claimed: " Give me a dozen healthy infants, well-formed, and my own special world to bring them up in and I'll guarantee to take any one at random and train him to become any type of specialist I might select-doctor, lawyer, artist, merchant-chief, and yes, even beggar-man and thief, regardless of his talents, penchants, tendencies, abilities, vocations and race of his ancestors. I am going beyond my facts and I admit it, but so have the advocates of the contrary and they have been doing it for many thousands of years." (Weiten 82) Although the question was first posed as a nature-versus-nurture issue, developmental psychologists today agree that both nature and nurture interact to produce specific developmental patterns and outcomes. Consequently, the question has evolved into how and to what degree do environment and heredity both produce their effects? No one grows up free of environment influences, nor does anyone develop without being affected by his or her inherited genetic makeup. However, the debate over the comparative influence of the two factors remains active, with different approaches and theories of development emphasizing the environment or heredity to a greater or lesser degree. "Some developmental theories rely on basic psychological principles of learning and stress the role learning plays in producing changes in behavior in a developing child."(Weiten 350) These theories... ...ferent environments, the may consider people raised in similar environment who have totally dissimilar genetic backgrounds. If they find, for example, similar courses of development in two adopted children who have different genetic backgrounds and have been raised in the same family, they have evidence for the importance of sentimental influences on development. Moreover, psychologists can carry out research involving animals with dissimilar backgrounds. By experimentally varying the environment in which they are raised, we can determine the influence of environmental factors on development. Dodge, Kenneth A. "The Nature Nurture Debate. How to Be a Smart Consumer and Save Your Money Essay
Are you a smart consumer? If the answer is no, letââ¬â¢s turn over to a new leaf. In this borderless world, being a smart consumer is like chocolate chips in our cookies of life. Thus, it is essential for us to spend wisely and save our budget. There are abundant of consumers nowadays love to spend a lot of money on products that do not suffice their budget as well as they are unnecessary. We heard this too many times already. However, how many of us really think deeply and wonder if everything we buy is worth our money? We admit that shopping is fun but sometimes reality really stuck us hard. Question such as do I really need it, is the price right or even such low prices may just make us wonder why it is so! Besides, it is weighty to be a smart consumer as the number of traders, who are trying to cheat us are increasing from day to day. By the way, there are countless ways to be such a smart consumer in order to avoid from being their victims particularly from the profit hungry traders. First and foremost, do you remember those times that you buy items that have a huge discount without even thinking if you need them? To be frank, it is believed that everyone had gone to such situation before. However, we have to keep in mind that in order to save money and be a smart consumer, try to keep to buying necessity items only. Buying too much or things that we do not need is not saving money. Try making a list of items you plan to buy in advance before going for shopping. With this method, you will able to buy everything you need and reduce on buying things you do not need. Apart from that, this is very influential step especially when you are buying clothes. Donââ¬â¢t get fully attracted to the huge discount tags but try paying a little attention to the quality. Somebody used to buy clothes during those insane sales happening in town. They wouldnââ¬â¢t bother those small dots or stains on the clothes as they thought that they will go off after washed. The sad fact is that they didnââ¬â¢t and they were mad at themselves. The moral of the story is, donââ¬â¢t get fooled by those discount tags and always check the quality. It is better spending like a couple of minutes checking the quality rather than going back and regret on it. As the Chinese saying goes, a smart action lead us to a smart lifestyle. Like a case that was experienced by a lady, she tends to go shopping weekly t the local supermarket or wholesalers. One of the items she must buy is milk. There are always those promotional tags saying certain milk products are on discount. One day, it really surprised her that the expiry date was just few days ahead! Yes, the sellers are clearly manipulating using business tactics but are they wrong? No! I am not pointing that the consumers are wrong either. We have to be careful when it comes to such things. For example, dairy products canââ¬â¢t be kept long. Therefore, always check the expiry date regardless of how cheap the items are. The same goes over when buying canned foods and drinks. Avoid buying canned products which are dented as they will become slightly poisonous. Ensure the cans are in good shape before buying to ensure you get the best product. It is substantial for us to compare prices of those wholesalers. You can go to different places to shop. Every time you go to a new place, you need try to compare the prices. As the Australian saying goes, small amount of money you save can lead to a bigger saving. Always remember that discount tags outside are just business tactics. If you can get the same items for less, isnââ¬â¢t that a much bigger saving? The price might be cheap but we must be able to think and consider if it is worth it. Do you see those sales promoters trying to promote something? It is a norm that they will tell you that particular product is good, energy saving or even cheaper. Try asking a few more questions before buying it. Check if it is really a good choice or so. Indeed, simply by asking, we are getting more information and we might even be able to consider if the product is worth for our money. Last but not least, membership for local stores and even frequent visitor card is good as it is an excellent choice to save up more money. One of the best examples I personally encountered was last month where I was shopping for the accessory products. The price was already discounted and when I was at the payment counter, I was shocked and surprised as the cashier told me if I am a member, I will get another discount of 20 percent! The moral of the story is simple and straight forward. We are able to save up tons of money and even shop smarter if we know how to utilize the membership card and benefits. At the same time, membership cards will enable you to collect points and eventually, we are able to redeem items and cash vouchers when we shop. In a nutshell, there is innumerable way for us to be a smart consumer. We need to be together working closely arm in arm and advising each other for being concerned and smart consumers. As the Malay saying goes, many hands make work better. Do not worry as it is assuring you these are simple steps and it will not take you more than one or two minutes to get it done. Hooray! More time to shop! Exclusively prepared by, Nik Aisyah Amalien bt Nik Mohd Asri SMKA Naim Lilbanat.. Class of sirrosdi Question : Write your story beginning with â⬠My heart beat frantically as I made my way to the principalââ¬â¢s office ââ¬Å" My heart beat frantically as I made my way to the principalââ¬â¢s office . My mind could not figure out what would be the possible consequences and punishment from the principal. ââ¬Å"I am guilty and there is no way the principal can forgive meâ⬠. I told myself. I felt like I was going to be given a very stern punishment. Then I tried to figure out why I was in this mess. It story started when my mom gave birth to a new baby boy in our family . I was in cloud nine that day as my father told me that I have a new brother . â⬠Wohoo ! â⬠I shouted. I put the phone back to its original place after Ispoke to my dad. I was not really myself that day . I shook hands with all the students in my classroom. I could see they were starring at me with strange faces. Most of my classmates were baffled initially until I told them about this new brother. Then slowly one by one stood up and congratulated me. So I told them I would persuade my dad to throw a small party over the weekend to celebrate this occasion. Everyone was looking forward to this occasion. In my classroom,I was commonly known as a quiet and shy boy. I didnââ¬â¢t talk too much unless someone asked me to. But today, after that good news,I completely change myself. I was just like a character of a ââ¬Å"wood-peckerâ⬠as I made a lot of annoying noises in the class . Kring ! Kring !. The bell rang and it was time to go home. I quickly packed all my stuff into my school bag and ran towards the main gate with a fantastic speed . I could not wait to get home to meet my newborn brother . After five minutes,I felt bored. I walked around the school compund . While walking, I could see something that caught my eyes. I picked up five bottles of wood-sprayer in various colour which are commonly used by PMR students for their Life Skillâ⬠s carpenting projects. Then,I ran to a new building at a compound nearby. The building was almost completed and most of the classrooms were already used. There was another one room left and the school management wasnââ¬â¢t sure of what should be done to that empty room . Without hesitation, Spurshhhhhhh â⬠¦ ! I started spraying at the main door. It reads,ââ¬Å" Welcome to the world of Arts ââ¬Å"with a combination of two vivid colours in graffity style. It looked catchy as the backround of the door was lily-white . After I had sprayed the main door , then I started to spray the roomââ¬â¢s wall. It reads, ââ¬Å"This place is only for talented onesâ⬠. The colour matched the wall and it was done beautifully. Out of the blue,I heard some clear footsteps. I could guess that footsteps must be owned by a big size person. My hair stood up and I could feel my heartââ¬â¢s drumbeat. The happiness and excitement that I had just now vanished in no time. The steps were coming closer. I slowly sneaked out to identify who was the owner of the footsteps. . Oh gosh! All I could see was a grumpy tall man cladded with black suit. It was my principal! I tried to find a way out but it was useless. I boosted my mind as the footsteps became nearer. Aha! then an idea struck my mind. When the door opened, I dashed out. He grabbed my school shirt to stop me from running away and I quickly closed his eyes with my palms wishing that he couldnââ¬â¢t see me. I was really panicked and my body was trembling. Without hesitation, I pushed him strongly and he fell down. I ran as fast as a lightning and luckily my dad was in the car waiting for me. I then realized my name tag fell somewhere. No more thinking,I jumped into dadââ¬â¢s car. The next day I went to school as usual and pretended nothing had appenend. Like the usual shy boy that do not talk or entertain to anyone unless someone wanted to say hello, I sat at my place besides Mahaddi,my close friend. I quickly grabbed the assignment on English literature given by Sir Rosdi. I knew that Sir Rosdi was watching me very closely and he suspected that I had a problem to settle. My heart beat faster when my name was called out through the paging system. ââ¬Å" Attention to Fahmi Azan from 5 Amanah, please report immediately to the principalââ¬â¢s room right now! â⬠That was the hoarse voice that I heard before. My blood started to flow faster and I could feel the andrenaline flowing.. All the eyes were straight on me including Sir Rosdi. They were wandering why the principal was making the announcement himself. .I quickly walked to the principalââ¬â¢s office . As I arrived there I knocked the door politely. ââ¬Å"Come in! â⬠. Gulp ! Only God knows how I felt right now. I slowly opened the door and entered the room. The room was so cool as cool as my body. ââ¬Å"Please have a sitâ⬠. My principal quipped. After being interoggated for almost half an hour,I felt so calm. I listened attentively and nodded. He told me that he was attracted to my arts and proposed the room that I sprayed being made ââ¬Å"The school artââ¬â¢s room. â⬠What a surprise! I smiled and thanked him. He also proposed an Artââ¬â¢s club and appointed me as the president of the club. I hugged him tightly. He was so shocked but happy with my reactions. I shook his hands and thanked him for his kindness. I never expect this dramatic event took a 360 degree turn. It wasnââ¬â¢t a mess as I thought initiallyâ⬠¦.. Most people would define a good teacher as someone who makes their students excel academically and do well on their tests. I believe thatââ¬â¢s almost right, but a little off. I believe that a good teacher doesnââ¬â¢t have one dimension but two. They not only make you excel, but they make you want to go to school. They care about the studentââ¬â¢s insecurities and problems, and most importantly they are there to support you. My teacher is like that. Her name is Ms. Young and sheââ¬â¢s changed the way I see the world. She isnââ¬â¢t one of those teachers that will give it their all just to be liked by the students. She honestly doesnââ¬â¢t fit in a category of teachers. Although itââ¬â¢s her first year teaching at High Tech Middle she fit in immediately. Normally the project based learning philosophy is hard for new teachers to adapt to, but Ms. Young did it effortlessly. After nine years of switching from town to town, school to school, and teacher to teacher, Ms. Young is by far the best teacher Iââ¬â¢ve ever had. She keeps the class in order, yet manages to make it fun at the same time. Sheââ¬â¢s always there for academic as well as personal help. Honestly for the first time I donââ¬â¢t want to pass the grade. Ms. Young has taught me a lot over the past school year. Iââ¬â¢m not only speaking of history, writing, and reading. She has taught me to appreciate the little things, never judge, and be happy about the work I create. I have grown more in this year than any other, and I owe it almost completely to Ms. Young. I used to think I was a good writer. Looking back on my work from just last year, I realize how much stronger my writing skills and vocabulary are. Ms. Young has done a superb job preparing me for high school, for which I am very grateful. I feel that I have developed my writing skills most this year than any other year. Throughout the year Ms. Young has become my role model. Iââ¬â¢ve had many people tell me that when they grow up they want to be like her. I believe that becoming half of the teacher she is would be an incredible achievement. I wrote this essay because I believe that she should be recognized. Not only because of her incredible teaching abilities, but because she made a difference in my life. She showed me that hard work pays off, and that I should never give up. These lessons will continue to have an effect on my life throughout high school and college. Thank you Ms. Young. They impart knowledge and skills to our faculty of intelligence. And yet some of us donââ¬â¢t know how to show appreciation to them. Itââ¬â¢s indeed that one cannot put a price tag on education, and so does teaching. If there is a category of people who knows how to shape, and furnish young children with useful information without showing any sign of fatigue, and unwillingness; surely teachers belong to that category because of the fact that they know how to push us students, and direct us through the lightning path of success. It is true that they earn a monthly salary for ââ¬Å"teaching;â⬠but I think they deserve more than just a salary. A little bit of appreciation could vitalize them, and encourage them to help us more. I am certainly not a teacher and neither are many other young children, but it is understandable to know how much they work to direct us, and making sure that we students learn the skills that we need to go out in the challenging world. Their job is one of the toughest to take on, and they still manage to do it happily without any apparent dissatisfaction. Most of us know how difficult it is to get an acceptance to college, and for many of us a descent job might be the ultimate target. Teachers are the ones who always make sure that, us students we are organized, prepared, equipped, and ready to strive through our targeted path; and many of them certainly make sure that we are properly expectant of the obstacles that lie on the journey ahead, and with that perception they help us cultivate tactics, and strategies to resist those obstacles. These are some words that I chose on behalf of many students around the world, in order to acknowledge your hard work, dedication, and everything that you [teachers] teach us from academic to real life lessons. Your hard work makes a grandiose impact on our lives as students, and for that I, and many other students would like to express our gratitude in between these quotations; ââ¬Å"Us student, we could not have left this day passed without wishing you a joyous Teachersââ¬â¢ appreciation week. We certainly think that everyday should be a day to celebrate teachersââ¬â¢ hard work. Itââ¬â¢s indisputable how hard you [teachers] work to deliver the materials to us, and on top of that you still strive to help us during your free time. How much of a price can one put on that quality? None of us thinks that quality worth a financial value. ââ¬

Machiavelli’s The Prince
Niccolo Machiavelli was an Italian historian, statesman and a political philospher. He was born on May 3, 1469 in Florence. He first entered the government service as a clerk and became prominent in 1498 when Florentine was proclaimed as a Republic. (Kemerling, 2006) Machiavelli was engaged into differen diplomatic missions and because of these missions, he met a lot of Italian rulers and studied their political tactics. After a long time of public service, the republic collapsed and he was driven from his post. It was in 1513 when he wrote ââ¬Å"The Princeâ⬠, hoping that he can secure the favor the Medici family, thye ruling family in Florence that time. He addresed this to an Italian prince which is from the Medici family. (Encarta, 2007) The Prince is concerned with different principles that founded a state, hence, he described the method on how a prince can acquire and maintain his political power. He also stated in this book his belief that a ruler should not be bound by traditional ethical norms. (Kemerling, 2006) During the Renaissance, there were new attitudes toward politics that accompanies the new forms of political organizations. Huamnists stated that progress of a place should be natural and no-religious. Machiavelli's The Prince tried to find a base for the art of governance not depending on Christian principles but on science. In 16th century, he focused more on how to preserve a state and these ideas were refrlected in The prince and became part of the political environment. This new political perspective appeared not only in Italy but also in the monarchies of the North and were introduced in different writings. Although it was not universally accepted, it was recognized during Renaissance and changed the political thinking. Forensic Linguistics Definition and Examples
Forensic Linguistics Definition and Examples The application of linguistic research and methods to the law, including evaluation of written evidence and the language of legislation. The term forensic linguistics was coined in 1968 by linguistics professor Jan Svartvik. Example: The pioneer of forensic linguistics is widely considered to be Roger Shuy, a retired Georgetown University professor and the author of such fundamental textbooks as [Creating] Language Crimes. The fieldââ¬â¢s more recent origins might be traced to an airplane flight in 1979, when Shuy found himself talking to the lawyer sitting next to him. By the end of the flight, Shuy had a recommendation as an expert witness in his first murder case. Since then, heââ¬â¢s been involved in numerous cases in which forensic analysis revealed how meaning had been distorted by the process of writing or recording. In recent years, following Shuyââ¬â¢s lead, a growing number of linguists have applied their techniques in regular criminal cases . . ..(Jack Hitt, Words on Trial. The New Yorker, July 23, 2012) Applications of Forensic Linguistics Applications of forensic linguistics include voice identification, interpretation of expressed meaning in laws and legal writings, analysis of discourse in legal settings, interpretation of intended meaning in oral and written statements (e.g., confessions), authorship identification, the language of the law (e.g., plain language), analysis of courtroom language used by trial participants (i.e., judges, lawyers, and witnesses), trademark law, and interpretation and translation when more than one language must be used in a legal context. (Gerald R. McMenamin, Forensic Linguistics: Advances in Forensic Stylistics. CRC Press, 2002)On some occasions the linguist is asked to provide investigative assistance or expert evidence for use in Court. Within the linguistics literature there has been considerable focus on the rules for admission of authorship identification evidence to criminal prosecutions, but the role of the linguist in providing evidence is broader than this. Much of the evide nce provided by linguists does not involve authorship identification, and the assistance a linguist may offer is not restricted to only providing evidence for criminal prosecution. Investigative linguists can be considered that portion of forensic linguistics which provides advice and opinions for investigative and evidential purposes. (Malcolm Coulhard, Tim Grant, and Krzystof Kredens, Forensic Linguistics. The SAGE Handbook of Sociolinguistics, ed. by Ruth Wodak, Barbara Johnstone, and Paul Kerswill. SAGE, 2011) Problems Facing Forensic Linguists [There are] certain problems facing an insider forensic linguist. Eight such problems are: 1. short time limits imposed by a law case, as opposed to the more familiar time limits enjoyed in everyday academic pursuits;2. an audience almost totally unfamiliar with our field;3. restrictions on what we can say and when we can say it;4. restrictions on what we can write;5. restrictions on how to write;6. the need to represent complex technical knowledge in ways that can be understood by people who know nothing of our field while maintaining our role as experts who have deep knowledge of these complex technical ideas;7. constant changes or jurisdictional differences in the field of law itself; and8. maintaining an objective, non-advocacy stance in a field in which advocacy is the major form of presentation. Since forensic linguists deal in probabilities, not certainties, it is all the more essential to further refine this field of study, experts say. ââ¬Å"There have been cases where it was my impression that the evidence on which people were freed or convicted was iffy in one way or another,â⬠says Edward Finegan, president of the International Association of Forensic Linguists. Vanderbilt law professor Edward Cheng, an expert on the reliability of forensic evidence, says that linguistic analysis is best used when only a handful of people could have written a given text. (David Zax, How Did Computers Uncover J.K. Rowlingââ¬â¢s Pseudonym? Smithsonian, March 2014) Language as a Fingerprint What [Robert A. Leonard] thinks about of late is forensic linguistics, which he describes as the newest arrow in the quiver of law enforcement and lawyers. In a nutshell, just think of language as a fingerprint to be studied and analyzed, he enthuses. The point to be made here is that language can help you solve crimes and language can help you prevent crimes. There is a tremendous pent-up demand for this kind of training. This can be the difference between someone going to jail over a confession he didnââ¬â¢t actually write. His consultation on the murder of Charlene Hummert, a 48-year-old Pennsylvania woman who was strangled in 2004, helped put her killer in prison. Mr. Leonard determined, through the quirky punctuation in two letters of confession by a supposed stalker and a self-described serial killer, that the actual author was Ms. Hummertââ¬â¢s spouse. When I studied the writings and made the connection, it made the hair on my arms stand up. (Robin Finn, A Graduate of Sha Na Na, Now a Linguistics Professor. The New York Times, June 15, 2008) The linguistic fingerprint is a notion put forward by some scholars that each human being uses language differently, and that this difference between people can be observed just as easily and surely as a fingerprint. According to this view, the linguistic fingerprint is the collection of markers, which stamps a speaker/writer as unique. . . .[N]obody has yet demonstrated the existence of such a thing as a linguistic fingerprint: how then can people write about it in this unexamined, regurgitated way, as though it were a fact of forensic life?Perhaps it is this word forensic that is responsible. The very fact that it collocates so regularly with words like expert and science means that it cannot but raise expectations. In our minds we associate it with the ability to single out the perpetrator from the crowd to a high degree of precision, and so when we put forensic next to linguistics as in the title of this book we are effectively saying forensic linguistics is a genuine science jus t like forensic chemistry, forensic toxicology, and so on. Of course, insofar as a science is a field of endeavour in which we seek to obtain reliable, even predictable results, by the application of a methodology, then forensic linguistics is a science. However, we should avoid giving the impression that it can unfailingly - or even nearly unfailingly - provide precise identification about individuals from small samples of speech or text. Chicago history Essays
Chicago history Essays Chicago history Essay Chicago history Essay Essay Topic: Chinatown The Wing city Chicago When I first visit Chicago two years ago, I thought Chicago is Just a city with cold winter and nothing fancy. So I always stay in my little comfort zoon like Chinatown and only hangout with my Chinese friends. However, after a month of exploring Chicago, I was totally wrong. Chicago is a place with rich history, culture diversity and innovation in business. It is so fabulous and modern, yet so calm and beautiful. When you pay close attention to your surrounding, you will discover the culture mix is everywhere. The different neighborhood has its own traditions, in term of art, music, DOD and religion. Yet, they were all somehow so united and shared same sprit of being citizen of Chicago. Chicago is nothing like Detroit. It will not fall like Detroit, because Chicago innovation and variety of the business were so advanced, it could make change to adopt current economic situations. The culture is so important in a global city like Chicago. Chicago is like a box, which packed all the different ethnic groups together. Mixing with the rich history, people from around the world shares all the different believe seems to be sharing with each other and started to melt down into one. They call them citizen of Chicago. The citizen of Chicago has a huge advantage over others. They dont have to drive hours to find the food they want and they never worried about what to eat. Like most of the global city, Chicago has huge variety of food. The Chinatown provides huge variety of Chinese food and emphasized on the famous cooking style around China. I had visited all restaurants across the Chinatown over two years time. The authentic of the food is great in old town. However, in the new town area they modified and improvised on the food with a little American element. If you are the type person ho like to enjoy spicy and grilled food, you should Just started making your way to the west of the Carmaker. The two distinguished neighborhood pipeline and little village provides you with delicious authentic Mexican food. You are expected to find a lot of delicious taco there. Little Italy is no so far away from Chinatown as well, if you are thinking of some really good pastas. If all of the food above does not work for you, you can Just yelp a sushi restaurant near you, I can ensure you it is almost everywhere. However, if you are looking for authentic sushi then you must go to the ere north part of Chicago. The variety of the food is Just part of identity to global city. What contribute to Chicago as an alpha+ global city is about the innovation of the food. Did you realize the some of the restaurant in downtown you see simply looks cool? The design of the sushi restaurant is like a club with all the lighting and modern furniture. Who will think of the sushi will be BBC or chess to be placed on top of sushi? The sushi restaurant NUN is making so much innovation and culture mix that produce a food which so unique that many people were attracted to the saturate. Not to mention about the Michelin three start restaurant Alien, its Just a hell a lot of fame in them. Those benefits of having such variety and innovation of If food and arts are the expression of the culture element of global city, Music is then the soul of the Chicago. Music is everywhere in this talented land and deep rooted in every neighborhood. During the excursion to Chinatown, my group and I discover that the different type of the music played in the store creates very different culture experience. The soft and high note music played in the traditional archaize store, where in the new town we were having modern Chinese pop or even American latest hit. Across the street two element of old and young both are expression of how Chinese interpreting Chicago culture. The soft and high pitch notes Creates this close engagement of Chinese culture and modern-pop by the young and energetic people was Just showing how the new generation of people in china town has deeply involved in this global culture mix. If you continue going west bound of Carmaker, you will be entering a totally different world. Guitar mixed with all efferent kind of high note pipes, in a fast and happy pace, you will find yourself dance around store to stores. Language itself can type of music as well. In little village you can imagine when the whole area of people is speaking Spanish and you will unintentionally started greeting Hole to the passes. When you step into downtown you can feel the existence of the legend muddy waters legacy. People are performing and singing Chicago blues at the corner of the street. What has been remarkable to me during this summer course was the group excursion to Generically. The generically neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Chicago and has a reputation for insularity or hostility to outsiders. It is located at 40th street to 47th street between Halsted Street and Wentworth Avenue. It was heavily influenced by the development and decline of the livestock and meatpacking industries. Historically, it has been known as an Irish American neighborhood. During the visit to the church, professor and I were able to have a short conversation with the church keeper. She told us about how she was lucky that grant acceptance by the neighborhood when she married to the Irish guy. Although, this neighborhood has kept its tradition, the culture is always evolving. From no acceptance of foreign race at town, the tolerance has gradually increased, which is sign of how Chicago has a city has become more educated and tolerance. The economy of Chicago is strong. It has the third largest gross metropolitan product in the United States, which is approximately $532 billion. The city has also been rated as having the most balanced economy in the United States, due to its high level of diversification. Chicago is home to more than 400 major corporate headquarters. Its diversity of he business, from in every sector from risk management innovation to manufacturing to information technology to health services, made Chicago so flexible that could adapt major economic crisis. The transformation of architecture in Chicago has played an essential role in the history of this city, even the history of the United States. The United States Fort Progress Worlds Fair have been commemorated on Chicago flag as stars. Two of these four historical events are highly related to the architecture. The interactions between the city and the past have also reflected the history of American architectural style. The Great Chicago Fire did not destroy the city but stimulated the largest building booms in the history of nation in 19th century. The intrinsic spirit of Chicago embedded in the architecture from the reconstruction. People briefly summarized as a spirit of never giving up. The World Columbian Exposition 1893 in the city has led to a positive for the relocation of prominent architects. The Chicago School and the Second Chicago School represented modern architecture in America. The constructions of Willis Tower, Trump International Hotel and Tower, the Non Center, and the John Hancock Center are the four tallest buildings in the city, these landmark buildings are constructed in varying styles in Chicago. The architecture styles in Chicago allowed people coming from various cultures to find their own interests here. Chicago is a sprit. It has the courage to rebuild the city from ruin. Chicago is an Idea. From railroad to meat packing, From small business trading to worlds 17% of the global derivatives trading market. Chicago is about people. Ethnic across the global come here to share the same believe. They united together to achieve better future.
